It is not certain that this is the natural mother of the Nemer children. Casper and Anna Obermeyer came with the 6 younger Nemers from le Harve on the ship Gertrude to New York, which arrived 20 May 1852. It is speculated the father of the Nemer children died and Anna Nemer re-married to Casper Obermeyer. Casper and Anna also had a son, Xavier Francis Obermeier, who was age 5 in 1852.
Anna died in 1853. Her tombstone in St. Boniface's cemetery reads Anna Obermeier. Church records add, nee Kreil.
