Ann Lee

Ann married Captin Samuel Willett, son of William Willett and Mary Griffith, on 12 Aug 1786 in Nelson Co., KY. (Captin Samuel Willett was born in 1754 in Prince George's Co., MD On Land Called "Bealington" and died in 1793.)

  Marriage Notes:

Ann was a Catholic. A priest did not perform their marriage since it was the summer of 1787 before the area had its first priest. As was the custom in the early days of our nation when few priests were available, once the priest visited an area, marriages were solemnized with the Sacrament of Matrimony and children were baptized.

Ann next married Wilford Hayden on 6 Jun 1793. (Wilford Hayden was born on 25 Mar 1772 and died on 10 Jul 1827.)
