Mary Griffith

  General Notes:

After the death of her 2nd husband, Mary Griffith Willett Simmons moved to Nelson Co., KY which at the time of her move was still part of the State of Virginia.

Mary married William Willett, son of Edward Willett and Tabitha Mills, about 1737. (William Willett was born in 1715 in Prince George's Co., MD On Land Called "Bealington" and died about Feb 1773.)

Mary next married Richard Simmons on 7 Mar 1779.

  Marriage Notes:

Pottenger and Elizabeth Tyler. Four of Richard and Susanna Simmons' children married children of William Willett and Mary Griffith. Richard Simmons, was the stepfather of the Willett children as well as being the father-in-law of four of them. He died in Prince George's Co., MD in 1784.
