• Notes

  Lived in New Madrid, Missouri, at the time of the earthquake in 1811, and moved immediately following that catastrophe to Marshall County Kentucky where he married a Crenshawe. Their only child was Harriet Byron Conway. He divorced his wife when Harrietwas quite young and nothing else is known of him. He is said to have been of very small stature.
